Abstract/Notes
In the light of the concept of hypergene origin of magnesites, their general formational-genetic types are distinguished, geochronic and geostructural aspects of the global magnesite content are discussed. The geological structure of domestic deposits and ore provinces is considered in more detail. Data on the material composition and petrogeochemical features of magnesite-bearing complexes are systematized, including for the first time on the material of mass samples with the involvement of mathematical statistics. A rational complex of studying carbonate minerals and rocks using precision methods, predictive mineralogical and technological and mineralogical criteria for assessing magnesite content are substantiated.
For non-mining geologists, mineralogists, lithologists, regional geologists, students of geological specialties.
