Abstract/Notes | This paper gives a review of the information on the eigtheen mineral species which have their type localities in Madagascars; their discoveries, type localities, their names and relevant literature. Béhierite, bityite, cesiokenopyrochlore, fluor-liddicoatite, grandidierite, hibonite, hydrokenopyrochlore, lasnierite, laurentthomasite, liandratite, londonite, manandonite, nioboheftetjernite, petscheckite, pezzottaite, potassic-fluoro-pargasite, schiavinatoite and vránaite. A brief review on some of the earlier introduced names for minerals found in Madagascar, now obsolete names and discredited minerals is also given: ambatoarinite, ampangabeite, betafite, befanamite, faratsihite,imerinite, samiresite, seyrigite and tsilaisite (s.l.). |
