Abstract/NotesThe book is devoted to a comprehensive description of the geological structure of the Kumak ore field and its ore content. The conditions for the accumulation of black shale strata and their petrographic characteristics are also considered. For the first time, a detailed description of the carbonaceous substance itself is given, its biogenic nature is shown, and the degree of metamorphism is determined. The gold content of carbonaceous strata is shown, starting with the identification of significant contents of a useful component in ore zones; definitions of geological factors that play an important role in the localization of gold mineralization; mineralogy of the gold-bismuth-telluride and gold-tourmaline associations widely developed here, and ending with the history of the development of the field.
