| Abstract/Notes | The title compound, [Ni(C18H18N2O4)]·CHCl3, has been synthesized by the solid-state reaction of Ni(OAc)2·4H2O and the Schiff base ligand N,N′-ethylene-bis(3-methoxysalicylaldehyde) [abbreviated as H2(3-MeO-salen)]. The Ni atom adopts a slightly deformed square-planar coordination geometry in which the 3-MeO-salen ligand acts as a cis-N2O2 donor. | ||
