Abstract/Notes Four species of Azolla are described from the Upper Cretaceous Edmonton Formation of southern Alberta (Canada). Based on glochidia, two new species—A. hamata and A. sagittifera—are formally designated. Paleoecologic, stratigraphic, and evolutionary significances of Azolla in the Edmonton Formation are discussed.
