Abstract/Notes Seventeen specimens of Pliocene to Recent volcanic glass from Mount Edziza, British Columbia, were dated by the fission-track method. Results agree well with paleomagnetic, potassium–argon, carbon-14, and stratigraphic data, offering accurate dates with closer limits of confidence than can be obtained by other methods. The age data supports the petrological evidence for three principal stages of activity, each beginning with eruption of basalt and culminating with eruption of more acid magma.
