| Abstract/Notes | An instrument for producing hemispherical paleogeographical maps with minimal distortion by a direct photographic method is described. In essence the procedure is to compile a map by assembling models of lithospheric plates on a globe, and then to transfer this assembly into a hollow hemispherical template where it is photographed from the inside. The procedure is simple and rapid and the product visually realistic. |
