Abstract/Notes | Six quarry-floor buckles in a west-end Ottawa bedrock quarry are described and a semi-quantitative estimate of the stress field is inferred from them. The maximum principal stress component is horizontal with an azimuth that is constrained to the northeast–southwest quadrants and has an upper limit that is of the order of a few tens of megapascals. |
