Abstract/Notes A specimen discovered in the Judith River Formation, Dinosaur Provincial Park, documents the presence of a giant pterosaur in Alberta during Campanian times. The element lacks both ends, but is probably a femur. The size suggests that the wingspan of the animal from which it was derived would have been about 13 m. A diagnostic vertebra from a smaller specimen demonstrates that the giant pterosaur is probably Quetzalcoatlus.
