| Abstract/Notes | Unusual ocellar textures from the base of the sheeted dikes unit in the Sarmiento ophiolite are described. There are significant chemical differences between these ocelli and the surrounding diabasic matrix. The mesoscopic textural evidence and the chemical evidence suggest an origin of these ocelli by liquid immiscibility or magma mixing. |
